Kolhapur Public School is an English Medium co-education school run by the R.L. Tawde Foundation. The aim of the school is to promote a cosmopolitan atmosphere, by providing thema liberal education, founding its edifice on Indian culture.

Kolhapur public school is the first CBSE School in this part of Maharashtra. We are the pioneers. We conducted classes from the play school, Junior KG, Senior KG, 1st to 10th, 11th to 12th. We offer science and commerce facilities.
At Kolhapur Public School we always feel that sports play a vital roll in child's life. Along with academics sports activities are therefore encourage.At Kolhapur Public School we have built in facilities for Swimming, Skating, Basket ball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Badminton, Table tennis, kho-kho etc. Our school has won many medals at the zone as well as at National level.
We are proud to say that we have given National, International players from Badminton, Hockey, Chess, Skating, Swimming etc. We also offer German language as a co-curricular activity where in the students are trained for various exams offered by the Max Muller, Pune.
We are also proud to say that many of our Teachers and Students has visited Germany for various activities conducted by Max Muller. Scout and Girl guide has been the backbone of our school.
Our students have been successfully awarded the Presidents award in Scout and Girl guidemovement along with the Rajyapuraskars. Our students were selected for attending the centenary celebration of the Scout movement held at ChemsfordLondon. Many of our students have also attended various National Jambories at Delhi, Haridwar, Hyderabad, Bangalore etc. and International Jambories, at Sweden, Japan etc. Last but not in the list we have been selected by NCC.
Interact clubs are an initiative of Rotary which brings together the young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership qualities while discovering the Power of Service above Self.
Maitreya Interact Club OF Kolhapur Public School was installed in the year 2010. Learning the procedures of the Rotary and our responsibilities, the club received “The Best Upcoming Interact Club” IN THE 30th District Interact Conference in the year 2012-13. This award became our motivation and we received “The Best Interact Club” and “The BEST Interact Teacher in the 32nd District Interact Conference in the year 2016-17.
Under our Club, we have organized Tree Plantation, Interactive Sessions of different Social figures on the topics like Paragliding, Awareness Issues. Dental Checkup Camp, Blood Donation Camp, MMR rally Organ Donation Rally and many more.
The dream began with the taking of an oath in 1979 the International Year Of The Child, to reach and educate maximum number of children as possible, Mrs. Shobha Tawde's (The founder of the R. L. Tawde Foundation Trust) farsighted vision and long years of dedicated work and perseverance has made that dream come true. She set up a mini playschool when the playschool concept was rare even in the developed cities. The beginning was with a handful of children and a dream. Now the dream has materialized into a well-established institution with an aim to educate our children using child oriented teaching. Every school has its own yardstick to gauge its accomplishments such as laurels earned by the academically inclined students and sports trophies won by the physically fit. Our accomplishment has been in educating children so that they may be able to think independently and constructively having discovered their true talents.
Our aim is not to just provide a good academic education but one that is value based. The world has become a very competitive place but our aim is not to prepare students to merely compete with others but to discover themselves first.
True to the Indian philosophy the more one knows about one self the better one can compete with others. We lay a substantial stress on the development of physical and mental skills, the enhancement of the power of concentration. Emphasis is laid on the building of strong characters to withstand the inevitable pressures of tomorrow's world. We have always aimed high and have achieved our goals without sparing any efforts. Our highly reputed institution has already instilled confidence in the parents community.
Moreover we are open to valuable suggestions from parents and experts through regular interaction with the faculty members, and strive to improve with an effective system of self-assessment. Our record spells out that for our mission the sky alone is the limit.
